Join us for a week dedicated to raising funds and spreading awareness. Together, we empower and support our unhoused neighbors in East Portland and East Multnomah County, making a tangible difference in our community.
Our amazing Community Beautification team hits the streets daily, removing truckloads of trash to keep East Portland beautiful and safe. Your contributions will directly support our Initiatives to empower our unhoused neighbors.
Here’s How You Get Involved:
1. Make a Pledge:
Choose a dollar amount that feels right for you.
2. Watch the Impact:
Our dedicated team will be out picking up trash and transforming our neighborhood.
3. Stay Informed:
We’ll share updates throughout the week, so you can see the difference your generosity is making!
4. Multiply Your Impact:
At the end of the week, for every 1,000 pounds of garbage collected, your pledged amount will be multiplied. That's your donation in action!

Pledge $1, $5, $10 (or chosen amount) for every 1,000 lbs of trash removed the week of July 7th-11th!

This team provides garbage clean-up and graffiti removal services throughout East Portland and East Multnomah County.
Our Community Beautification program makes East Portland and East Multnomah county safer and more livable for all neighbors. First, it supports our neighbors experiencing houselessness, by ensuring their living spaces are clean and safe from dangerous garbage, rodents, etc.
Second, it helps the community at large, as safer and more beautiful neighborhoods make our city livable for housed and unhoused neighbors.
Third, this program provides meaningful work for our neighbors experiencing houselessness. We have full-time staff with experiences of houselessness leading this program, as well as interns who come for day-work. This program helps our neighbors earn income and build their confidence as employable people.

The total amount of your pledges will be determined at the end of the experience once we know the final results and you will be notified via email accordingly. You also have the option to set a limit to your pledge.

Yes, you are given this option when you make your pledge. For example, you can make a pledge for $5 per 1000lbs of trash removed up to $100.

Last year we removed over 53,000 lbs of garbage! Help us achieve even more this year in support of our main initiatives of workforce development, housing and homemaking, and supportive sheltering. We always strive to break last year’s record!
