Work Works!
Dear Friends,
At Cultivate Initiatives, it doesn’t take long to see that work is more than a paycheck. It’s purpose and belonging. It’s the start of rebuilding a life. For someone who has been unhoused, showing up each day—being part of a team, a community—that’s where transformation begins. Meaningful work isn’t just about maintaining spaces. It’s about restoring dignity and strengthening our communities. When people are seen, trusted, and given a reason to show up— work doesn’t just change a resume, it changes a life for the better.
"I kept trying to find a job, but because of my background no one would give me a chance."
Emily says, “Cultivate Initiatives gave me a second chance, and I feel like it gave me my power back. They’ve empowered me to become the best version of myself—and now I want to help others do the same.”
When people are seen, trusted, and given a reason to show up—everything begins to change.
Help us continue this work—one neighbor at a time.
7th Annual Eat & Greet!
Each year, we host an event that truly reflects why Cultivate Initiatives exists—and we’d love for you to be part of it.
This FREE Community Event brings together housed and unhoused neighbors in the community for an evening of connection, good food, and live music.
Join us on Friday, May 22nd, 2026, 5- 8 PM at Menlo Park & Ride located at 12202 E Burnside Street.
Thank you for being a part of this work and for helping create a future where everyone has the opportunity to belong.
With gratitude,
Cultivate Initiatives
