A Message From Caleb

Greetings Friends, Neighbors, and Partners,

As we close out another year at Cultivate Initiatives, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude. What we have built together in East Portland is more than a collection of programs—it is a community of belonging, purpose, and hope.

Every day, I watch neighbors take courageous steps toward stability. I watch staff with lived experience step into leadership. I watch generosity—your generosity—quietly remove barriers that once felt immovable.

This year, more than ever, reminded me that change happens when people step forward together.

Whether you gave financially, volunteered, partnered with us, shared a meal at an Eat & Greet, attended a Give!Guide event, advocated for clean and safe neighborhoods, or simply told someone about the work—we are here because of you.

As we look to the year ahead, we see both deep need and extraordinary opportunity. We are ready to expand housing stability, strengthen workforce pathways, increase hygiene access, deepen partnerships, and ensure that belonging isn’t a privilege—it’s a baseline for every person in our community.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in this work and in the future we are creating together.

For & WITH,

Caleb Coder, Executive Director
