Help Neighbors Reenter Employment This Holiday Season!

Dear Friends,

Through our Intern Program, unhoused neighbors have earned income, removed 900,000 lbs of garbage, and transitioned to full-time jobs. A critical part of making this possible is providing a warm meal to fuel these neighbors for a day’s work. Your support this holiday season will provide daily meals for unhoused neighbors re-entering the workforce.
Every donation will be matched by the Americas Foundation, so every dollar you donate will be doubled!

What is the Intern Program?

Our Intern Program provides a pathway to re-enter the workforce. Interns are unhoused neighbors re-entering the workforce. They earn income and build confidence working with our staff providing garbage removal in the community. Interns are supported in building resumes, getting IDs, birth certificates, and anything else holding them back from employment.

  • Over $70,000 earned by Interns in the last year

  • 34 interns found stable employment upon completion of the intern program

Our goal this month is to raise $15,000 to feed and fuel our neighbors re-entering the workforce for the next year. We will continue highlighting the journeys of former interns who have transitioned to housing and employment. We invite you to empower more stories like these by donating now and spreading the word!
