Workforce Pathways

Dear Friends,

As many of you know, our mission is to collectively work alongside those on the margins to empower individuals and communities through an inclusive range of services and support in East Portland.

Our services and programs for unhoused neighbors are designed to build upon one another, fostering progress in multiple areas of their development. We meet people where they are, recognizing that everyone's journey looks different. Through Workforce Development, Employment Services, and Housing & Homemaking support, individuals can start working in our intern program and ultimately secure stable housing.

Workforce Development provides a pathway to greater stability and financial security, empowering individuals to make lasting changes—including maintaining housing.

Through our Intern Program, we help neighbors reenter the workforce with resume building, job applications, and hands-on experience. While working with our team, they can connect with our Housing & Homemaking team to identify and overcome barriers to stable housing. From there, they receive case management support to secure a place they can call home.

While this isn’t the exact journey for everyone in our programs, it highlights how our services create continuous forward momentum for those ready to make a change.

Thank you for supporting this life-changing work! Click on the link below to read a recent Oregonian article highlighting our programs.

Our Favorite Time of the Year!

We are happy to be bringing back some crowd favorites from last year’s Eat & Greet event for our 2025 Eat & Greet on Friday, May 23rd. This includes Cece’s Gyros and the band Herencia Elegante.

We hope to see you there this year to enjoy a night of great food, live music, games, laughter, and conversation with those in your community. It’s all about coming together, celebrating diversity, and building relationships that matter!

We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday, May 23rd, as we celebrate and enjoy our neighborhood together!

Calling All Sponsors!

We cannot host our Eat & Greet community events without the support of local sponsors. If you, your organization, or someone you know would like to contribute to this year’s Eat & Greet, please reach out to our Director of Development and Relationships, Ryan Saari, at ryan@cultivatepdx.org for more information. Along with our enormous gratitude (and rewarding good vibes of helping our community!) sponsors receive coverage and promotion through various channels leading up to and during the event.
